Message from the Executive Director …
thrilled to have been selected to serve as the new Executive Director
for your Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce! I’d like to
sincerely thank the Board of Directors for presenting me with this
opportunity. With a mission rooted in promoting business and
economic development in this ever expanding market, there is no doubt
that together we will achieve great things for the Cheektowaga
come to the Chamber after four incredible years with the local
American Cancer Society. In my role there, I had the opportunity
to meet and interact with some incredible companies, organizations,
and community members that truly exemplify why Western New York is a
fantastic place to work, live, and raise a family.
at the Chamber of Commerce, we are busily preparing for the upcoming
projects and events and hope you take full advantage of your
membership by getting involved. I have already had the pleasure
of attending an Educational Series on Marketing offered to our members
that was held in partnership with the Small Business Administration
and the Canisius College Women’s Business Center. To see
first-hand the scope of opportunities to learn, grow, and network that
the Chamber of Commerce can provide to its members and to the
community as a whole is inspiring, and I know that we have a very
exciting future ahead of us!
goal as your Executive Director is to get to know our membership.
Over the next few months, you will certainly be hearing from me!
Please feel free to contact me, or stop into our office and introduce
yourself. YOU are the ones that will help to shape our future.
What do YOU hope to get out of your membership with us? What can
we do to help YOUR business? I look forward to getting to know
you, and a strong partnership as we move forward!
of you that have been involved with the Chamber of Commerce for any
amount of time know the hard work and dedication that Diane Zmitrewicz
and Dona Kozak put forth each and every day to ensure that the Chamber
of Commerce not only runs smoothly, but that our mission is upheld.
Thank you ladies!
I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to your past President/CEO,
Debra Liegl. She has been instrumental in aiding this
transition, and I know will continue to do so in the coming months.
It’s clear to see that she leaves behind an incredible legacy in the
Cheektowaga community and here at the Chamber of Commerce, and I wish
her the best of luck in her future endeavors!
Roosevelt said that “the future belongs to those who believe in the
beauty of their dreams”. I truly believe in the future of this
organization, and look forward to a long and successful partnership!
